When a building block is connected to another block, adjacencies between the blocks are recognized. This is very important in order to model correctly the different space conditions that the block constructions are connected to.
In the example below a building block with energy zones (Gray) is connected to an outline block (Pink, unheated space):
In the structures level of the building block with energy zones you will see that, in the Wall parts, a new structure is created automatically based on the shape of the adjacent outline block. The construction data of the adjacent wall part can be edited from the properties tab.
In case the user does not want the automatic recognition of the adjacencies for a specific block, he/she must set the recognition in adjacencies property of the block to No.
Whenever the recognition in adjacencies property is changed the user must update the block adjacencies in order to create or remove the adjacent structure parts. Any blocks that need to be updated are marked with red color in the navigation tree.
To refresh the adjacent parts of a block, select the block node and from the building block menu click the options button.
Then click the Update block adjacencies button to complete the action.
