Outline blocks are used to model unoccupied spaces that are adjacent to building blocks with energy zones such as unheated adjacent spaces and roofs. Also ground surfaces adjacent to building blocks with energy zones can be modeled as outline blocks.
To create a new outline block select the second option from the building blocks action.
In the outline block settings tab select the from of the block (normal or slopping roof), the type (Unheated, ground) and the height.
If the outline block will be drawn in a vertical plane the the height value will represent the extrusion of the block from the plane as shown below.
